Reducing the cost of solar panels is as simple as focusing sunlight to a point. Focusing light to a tiny point reduces the area of costly photovoltaic material used in conventional solar panels, reducing the cost.
Since the amount of electricity varies with lighting conditions throughout the day and electrical load must always match electrical generation, we have a system to interlink hydrogen gas production with lighting conditions to simplify the entire process involved in storing the solar energy.
As a result, we end up with very well priced and very clean hydrogen and oxygen - which we then process and sell in a variety of ways.
Concentrator: We use a patented fluid filled lens cavity made of PET plastic produced at very low cost.
Heat Management: Accomplished by having fluid in the lens circulating around the photovoltaic deviceas well as use of a patented spectral cooling method that reflects away light that heats more than it powers the cell.
Tracking: We use a patent pending process lens array in the focal plane of each primary fisheye lens to redirect the sunlight to a stationary target within each lens. With this, sunlight from any direction is focused efficiently without the need for any mechanizedtracking system, minimizing mounting and installation costs.
The Results: How much can we reduce costs in this way?
By a factor of 1,000 to 5,000 times. So, what would normally take $50 of photovoltaic material costs as little as $0.01 - one penny, an incredible savings!
INDIVIDUAL LENS LENS ASSEMBLY
A large-scale installed system will produce energy at 1/100th the cost of conventional photovoltaic systems. This incredible price point is achieved with systems installed on a large enough scale, producing hydrogen gas electrolytically from water. We can install on a smaller scale, and produce electricity directly, but at a significant increase in cost, since installation and intertie costs are increased.
